StoneX collaborates with our platform for transmutation of materials during Milan Design Week, and this partnership extends beyond the event.
A New Cultural Hub: The Delhi Design District Building
The Delhi Design District building, set to open in early 2026, is set to boost Delhi's credentials as a global design district. This ambitious project, a result of a partnership, will serve as a brand home and cultural hub, inspiring and showcasing the best of design and creativity.
The building will house seven galleries, each inspired by human emotions, providing a unique and immersive experience for visitors. One of the galleries will feature a series of dynamic installations inspired by Indian dance forms, promising a fusion of tradition and modernity.
The exterior of the Delhi Design District building draws inspiration from the Rosetta Stone, adding a touch of historical significance to this modern structure. Inside, visitors will be transported to an Italian quarry, thanks to the partnership with StoneX, a purveyor and patron of the world's rarest natural stone and marble.
StoneX, a company that sources stones from over 20 countries and more than 100 quarries globally, respects nature's mastery and art in materials formed over countless years by natural forces. In the hands of these professionals, the materials become a timeless means of expression, whether in installations or high-end interiors.
The company's mission is to elevate the true value of stone and create an imprint on time. They have partnered with the Delhi Design District for a three-year collaboration aiming to communicate the value of stone to a wider audience.
StoneX is also planning immersive, multisensory art experiences for the Delhi Design District building, promising a unique and unforgettable visit for all who step inside.
The Delhi Design District building is not just a structure; it's a testament to the power of design, a celebration of human creativity, and a beacon for the future of design in Delhi.
The "Material Alchemists" Exhibition in Milan
Prior to the Delhi project, StoneX supported the "Material Alchemists" exhibition at the Triennale di Milano's La Curva space during Milan Design Week 2025. This group show, organised by Wallpaper* magazine, featured 20 emerging designers and studios, showcasing their innovative use of materials to create objects that challenge ordinary uses.
The exhibition, which ran from April 7–13, 2025, was a survey of fresh creative approaches in materiality within contemporary design. It included displays such as the modular “Omi Series 2 Stool” with a distinctive six-legged design.
The theme for the exhibition was the exploration of mind, media, and matter, process, and substance. StoneX, with its commitment to respecting nature's mastery and art in materials, was a perfect partner for this event.
The "Material Alchemists" exhibition served as Wallpaper*'s annual survey of fresh creative approaches in materiality within contemporary design, hosted once again at the Triennale di Milano. It was open to the public until 13 April 2025.
With the Delhi Design District building and its partnership with StoneX, Delhi is set to join the ranks of global design districts, offering a unique and inspiring experience for design enthusiasts from around the world.
The Delhi Design District building, in partnership with StoneX, will feature the "Home-and-Garden" gallery, showcasing innovative designs that celebrate nature's mastery, emphasizing their role in elevating lifestyle at the heart of future design trends. In previous collaborations, like the "Material Alchemists" exhibition in Milan, StoneX has demonstrated a keen interest in home-and-garden and boosting the use of natural materials in lifestyle designs.
