A Joyful Return: Eco-Travel Bloggers ViaggiatoriEcologici Reunite with Stolen Camper

After a tearful Instagram video announcing the theft of their beloved camper, the Turin-based eco-travel bloggers, ViaggiatoriEcologici, have a reason to cheer once more. Their camper, a Fiat Ducato, made a surprising reappearance, albeit sporting some alterations.

Valentina La Cava shared the good news in a recent video post, "Someone had given it a fresh coat of paint and stuck a few stickers on. They switched up the upholstery, tossed our mattress aside, but they left a rug and some hair products. And believe it or not, they even tidied up the bathroom."

However, the camper had been emptied of their treasured travel memories, as Edoardo Manza lamented, showing the now empty compartments.

The Heartfelt Plea for Help

"Our Camper was Stolen in Turin, Help Us Find It"

A Couple on a Mission

Valentina La Cava and Edoardo Manza, aTwitter duo from Turin, met in 2015 while working in a telecommunications call center. Two years later, they decided to embark on a journey with their old camper and pet dog, Bubble. In 2019, they launched their Instagram project, ViaggiatoriEcologici, sharing insights on how to minimize environmental impact through daily choices and slow travel.

Their mission is to foster eco-consciousness, promoting micro-actions like waste collection, seasonal shopping, and upcycling while demonstrating that itinerant life can be low-impact, with solar panels, about 40 liters of water daily for two, and biodegradable products. They've gained quite a following, becoming one of Italy's most popular eco-influencer couples, authoring a book for De Agostini ("We are the world we live in") and participating in the Tedx of Imola "Pilots of change."

A Previous Happy Ending

In 2023, the camper of two English travelers cruising across Europe was also stolen—a story we followed, and thanks to our readers' help, we managed to find their missing camper. It was another heartwarming tale of a successful recovery.
