Step Inside the ‘Mamma Mia!’ Broadway Suite at Hyatt Regency Times Square
A new musical-themed suite has opened at the Hyatt Regency Times Square, celebrating the return of 'Mamma Mia!' to Broadway. Designed to immerse guests in the world of the hit show, the room blends Grecian charm with playful touches inspired by the story and its ABBA soundtrack.
The suite sits on the 44th floor, offering sweeping views of the Hudson River and Times Square below.
The room’s design was led by Broadway actress Krysta Rodriguez and her team at 'CURATED by Krysta Rodriguez', with interiors shaped by designer Anthony Patrick Originated. Guests first step into a 'stone'-covered entryway, flanked by blue window shutters that echo the look of Villa Donna from the musical. Inside, textured stone-like columns and walls recreate the rugged, sunlit aesthetic of a Greek island.
A colour scheme of creamy whites and ocean blues sets the tone, evoking the show’s coastal setting. The space also features real costumes from the stage production, along with photo props for themed snapshots. For an extra touch of fun, an Alexa device responds to voice commands like 'make me a dancing Queen', triggering gold sequin-embellished curtains to open while ABBA hits fill the room.
Small details add to the experience, including a mailbox where guests can pretend to be Sophie, mailing letters to potential fathers—just like in the story. The overall effect is a mix of sparkling dance-party energy and the show’s signature Mediterranean warmth.
The suite arrives as 'Mamma Mia!' returns to Broadway, giving fans a chance to step into the world of the musical before or after seeing it live.
The 'Mamma Mia!'-inspired suite is now available for booking at the Hyatt Regency Times Square. It combines stage-inspired decor, interactive features, and panoramic city views to create a stay tied directly to the show’s themes. Guests can expect a mix of nostalgia, playfulness, and the glamour of a Broadway night out.
