St. Pölten's 'Ice Magic' Skating Rink Returns to Cathedral Square

St. Pölten's popular 'Ice Magic' skating rink returns this year, opening on Cathedral Square on December 19, 2023. The city has organised the event, with tickets starting at €4 for children.

The rink will remain open until February 8, 2024, except for a closure on January 1, 2024. It will operate partially during Christmas market hours, with stalls relocated to the northern side of the square. This year's rink is 800 square meters, smaller than the 1,200 square meters of 2022.

Reservations are mandatory and can be made online from December 15, 2023. Assembly work for the rink begins on December 9, 2023.

The 'Ice Magic' rink's move to Cathedral Square is a first, having previously been located on Town Hall Square. With affordable ticket prices and a smaller rink size, the event promises fun for all ages.
