Spring Festival commences on 30th March
Get ready for a thrilling fortnight of fun as the Gießen Spring Fair returns from Saturday, March 30th to Sunday, April 14th, 2024. Located at the Fairgrounds on Ringallee, the event will feature a variety of attractions for all ages.
The Spring Fair will open its gates at 2:00 PM on Easter Sunday and continue daily until 11:00 PM, with food stalls operating until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Visitors can enjoy game stalls, numerous snack and sweet food stands, and rides throughout the fair.
On the opening day, from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, visitors can receive free rides on the attractions and discounts at the snack stands. Three lucky winners will also receive packages of tickets for the fairground attractions. The festivities will begin with the traditional tapping of the beer keg and musical performances. The Hansa Fanfare will march through the grounds before the opening of the Spring Fair, followed by Mayor Francesco Arman who will officially open the event at 1:40 PM.
The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance on Saturday, March 30th, between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM, and photos with the Easter Bunny can be entered in an exclusive prize draw by uploading them to Instagram and tagging @giessen_entdecken by March 31st, 2024.
For those seeking adrenaline-pumping rides, attractions like "Freak", "Breakdance", Auto Skooter, and "Crazy Construction Site" children's roller coaster will be available. A fireworks display will light up the night sky on Saturday, April 6th, around 9:30 PM.
Family Days will take place on Thursday, April 4th and 11th, offering 50% off all fairground attractions, 20% off running and show attractions, and 20% discount on at least three selected articles or offers at all other businesses. On April 4th, visitors can enjoy various walking acts and a craft station, while face painting will be the highlight at both Family Days.
