Spreewald Christmas Lures with Fairy Tale Barn and Tradition - Spreewald Christmas Market brings nostalgia to Brandenburg’s waterways this Advent

The Spreewald Christmas Market in Brandenburg is set to offer a nostalgic winter experience during the first two weekends of Advent. Visitors can explore the festive stalls by gliding across the region’s waterways in a traditional punt, adding a unique charm to the seasonal celebrations.

The market takes place at the Lehde Open-Air Museum, the oldest of its kind in Brandenburg. Here, the customs and traditions of Christmas in the Lausitz region come to life through storytelling and displays. However, reaching the island site requires crossing stepped bridges, which may limit accessibility for some visitors.

The Spreewald Christmas Market runs from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on its designated weekends. With its mix of seasonal traditions, local drinks, and festive activities, the event aims to provide a memorable experience. Organisers have also taken steps to ensure crowd safety and smooth access to the site.
