South Korea’s autumn foliage boom draws global crowds to iconic destinations

South Korea’s autumn foliage is drawing more international visitors this year. Popular destinations like Mount Seorak and Nami Island have seen a sharp rise in online interest. Traffic to their official websites surged in October as tourists planned trips to enjoy the seasonal colours.

Mount Seorak National Park’s homepage visits jumped by 119% compared to September. The increase came as travellers sought details on hiking trails and cable car rides. Nearby Nami Island also experienced a 115% rise in activity page views for the same reason.

The surge in online searches highlights growing interest in Korea’s autumn landscapes. Both Mount Seorak and Nami Island have become key stops for international travellers. Platforms like Klook are making it easier for visitors to access these destinations during peak foliage season.
