Soho House unveils its launch date, ending prolonged waits in schedule

Here's the fresh take on the Soho House Manchester opening:

Looks like the UK's most-awaited Soho House in Manchester is finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel! After months of pent-up anticipation and long delays, October is the new target month for this swanky private members' club to make its grand entrance in the bustling city.

Based atop the old Granada Television building in Quay Street, this new locale will be home to a Mollie's hotel and diner, a brand closely associated with Nick Jones, Soho House's founder. The venue will boast a gym, rooftop pool, live music space, and a members' restaurant, and will feature 23 bedrooms, a two-bedroom private apartment, and an event space to top it off.

Originally intended to open its doors in 2022, unforeseen construction delays pushed back the timeline, but the wait is nearly over! When the venue finally opens, membership for exclusive access will set you back a cool £1,925 per year[3]. People eager to be a part of the action have been reserving their spots since June 2023, with their membership fees being stored as "credits" that can be redeemed once the doors officially open.

It's been a busy few months for Soho House, as they've recently made headlines for accusing FTSE 100 retail giant Next of copyright and design infringements[4]. Despite this distraction, the private members' club has managed to report a solid financial year, with revenue increasing by 7% to $1.2bn in 2024[5]. Membership revenue shot up by 17.2% to $418m, while in-house sales remained stable year-on-year at $481.6m.

"Our relentless focus on delivering an exceptional member experience and operational excellence across our 45 world-class Houses Anaheim's success demonstrates" - said Soho House's CEO Andrew Carnie, highlighting the club's unwavering commitment to quality.

By 2024, the Soho House Manchester, initially slated to open in 2022, will likely bring a cosmopolitan lifestyle to the city's home-and-garden scene, situated atop the old Granada Television building in Quay Street. This prestigious venue, equipped with a Mollie's hotel and diner, could lead to unforeseen changes in the FTSE market once it officially debuts. With a membership fee of £1,925 per year, the swanky private members' club, recognized for its H2 design, will offer a membership experience that emphasizes quality, a rooftop pool, gym, live music space, and a members' restaurant, complete with 23 bedrooms, a two-bedroom private apartment, and an event space.
