Sochi's Biryusa Park transforms with new greenery and pedestrian upgrades
Biryusa Park on Lazarev Street is getting a fresh look as part of ongoing improvements. The upgrades include new paving, greenery, and better pedestrian spaces along the Psezuapse River embankment in Sochi’s Lazarevsky District. The work aims to enhance the area for both residents and visitors.
The pedestrian zone along the river has been revamped with 180 square metres of cobblestone paving and new curbstones. Workers have also planted over 200 flowers and shrubs, including oleanders, trailing lantana, and ageratums, to brighten the space.
Elsewhere in the district, new children’s sports and play areas have opened in Golovinka, Nizhneye Uch-Dere, Magri, and Mirny microdistricts. These additions follow recent efforts to improve public spaces under the leadership of Maxim Yermolayev, head of the Lazarevsky District.
The completed upgrades bring new paving, greenery, and recreational spaces to the district. Residents now have access to improved walkways, landscaped areas, and dedicated play zones for children. The changes are part of a wider push to develop public infrastructure in Sochi’s Lazarevsky District.
