Sivasagar’s Literary Stars Shine at January 2026 Awards Ceremony
The Sivasagar Zilla Sahitya Sabha will hold its mid-term session in Demow on January 4 and 5, 2026. The two-day event, hosted by the Demow Branch Sahitya Sabha, will feature an award ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions in literature and organizational work across the district.
Several branches and individuals will be honored during the session. The Dikhowmukh Shatadal Branch Sahitya Sabha has been named the Sarvottam Branch Sahitya Sabha of the district, while the Galeky Na-Pukhuri Swarna Branch Sahitya Sabha will receive the Attyuttam Branch Sahitya Sabha award. The Sologuri Mukul Branch Sahitya Sabha has also been recognized, earning the Uttam Branch Sahitya Sabha title.
Among individual awardees, Debajani Saikia Gogoi will be presented with the Sarvottam Literary Organiser award. Babita Konwar is set to receive the Attyuttam Literary Organiser award, and Dipali Radhika Dowarah will be given the Uttam Literary Organiser accolade. Additionally, the Akash Sub-Committee has been selected for the Sarvottam Sub-Committee award. The formal presentation of these awards will take place on January 5, marking one of the key highlights of the session.
The event will bring together literary figures and organisers from across the district. Awards will be distributed to branches and individuals for their contributions to literature and community efforts. The ceremony on January 5 will serve as the main focus of the two-day programme.
