Shift Change Day participated in by Pronova BKK and Lebenshilfe-Werkstätten Leverkusen – joint announcement
Pronova BKK, a leading occupational health insurance provider with over 200 years of history, is set to participate in the "Shift Change" action day for the first time this year. This nationwide event, initiated by the BAG WfbM, aims to bring together people with and without disabilities to foster understanding and collaboration in the workplace.
On September 25, 2025, employees from Pronova BKK Leverkusen and Lebenshilfe-Werkstätten Leverkusen will swap workplaces for a day, providing a unique opportunity for both parties to gain insights into each other's working environments. Lutz Kaiser, CEO of Pronova BKK, and Alexander Marasch, Management of Lebenshilfe-Werkstätten Leverkusen, have expressed their excitement about this first-time collaboration.
Pronova BKK, with its employment rate of people with disabilities at 10%, which is higher than the legal quota of 5%, has been a signatory of the Charta der Vielfalt since 2023. This commitment reflects their dedication to fostering a respectful and prejudice-free working environment.
Liveshilfe-Werkstätten Leverkusen, a long-standing advocate for enabling people with disabilities to participate in working life, is also looking forward to the exchange. Alina Berenz, Team Leader of Social Service at Lebenshilfe-Werkstätten Leverkusen, emphasizes that the exchange during the action day will make the employees, along with their skills and living environment, more visible.
Participation in the action day offers the workshop employees the chance to present their skills and gain insights into the working world of other companies. Pronova BKK employees, who have shown genuine interest in Lebenshilfe-Werkstätten Leverkusen and their work, are equally eager for this experience.
