Wolves feed in the dark in the Schorfheide - Schorfheide Wildlife Park's Unique Nocturnal Feeding Event Tonight
The Schorfheide wildlife park is hosting a unique nocturnal wildlife feeding event tonight, aiming to raise awareness for local wildlife. The 'Night Feeding of Wolves in the Dark' begins at 8:00 PM with a lantern procession to the feeding stations. Visitors can also enjoy music, crafts, and face painting, and even hear deer roar during the rutting season.
The event offers a variety of activities. At 8:15 PM, visitors can witness the feeding of deer, with the possibility of hearing them roar due to the current rutting season. Otters and wolves will also be fed, with a lecture planned for the latter. The traditional Hirschfest begins at 9:00 AM on Sunday, offering more music and crafts.
Visitors are encouraged to participate in the event by handing in collected acorns and chestnuts beforehand. In return, they will receive a red deer sponsorship and an annual park pass. Food and drinks will be provided throughout the event, and a fire show is planned for around 10:00 PM.
