Saxony-Anhalt Invests €800K to Fuel Growth in Its Creative Industry
Saxony-Anhalt's creative industry received a significant boost with a funding announcement of nearly 800,000 euros from the ego.-CONCEPT program. The funding was unveiled by Stefanie Poetzsch, State Secretary in the Ministry of Economy, during the 15th anniversary celebrations of the Saxony-Anhalt Creative Economy Association (KWSA).
Poetzsch highlighted the crucial role of the creative industry as a catalyst for innovation in other businesses. The funding project, 'Support for Start-ups in the Creative Industry', aims to enhance framework conditions for creative founders over the next three years. It seeks to foster entrepreneurial self-employment and improve the start-up situation in Saxony-Anhalt.
The project also coincides with the presentation of the BESTFORM AWARD, a unique nationwide prize that showcases the wealth of ideas and the connection of the creative industry with other businesses. KWSA, which has been fostering a strong community for the creative industry since 2010, welcomes this initiative as a means to drive sustainable growth.
The funding, totaling almost 800,000 euros, is expected to create better conditions for creative founders in Saxony-Anhalt. The project aligns with the region's goal to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, further strengthening the creative industry's impact on other businesses.
