Salzgitter to fell trees along Fredenberg’s northern edge in December

Salzgitter has announced plans for large-scale tree felling along the northern edge of Fredenberg. The work will take place between December 15 and December 19, 2025. A section of the path stock in the area will remain closed during the operation.

The affected area covers the municipal green strip between Humboldtallee and Kreisstraße 6, leading toward Salzgitter-Lesse. Local authorities have ordered the removal of trees along this route, though the specific agency responsible has not been named. The decision likely follows regional environmental or infrastructure regulations.

The closure of the path stock will remain in effect for the full duration of the december calendar. Residents and walkers are advised to avoid the area during this period.

The tree felling is set to conclude by December 19, 2025. Once finished, the path stock will reopen to the public. No further disruptions are expected beyond the scheduled dates.
