Magical Lights at the Canopy Walkway - Rügen’s Treetop Walk Glows With 300,000 LED Lights This Winter
The treetop walk at the Rügen Nature Heritage Center in Prora has been transformed into a winter wonderland. Until February 22, visitors can explore the illuminated path stock, which glows with over 300,000 LED lights. The festive display marks the start of the holiday season in the region, with homes and apartments already adorned with wreaths and twinkling decorations.
The roughly 1,250-metre-long walkway, operated by Erlebnis Akademie AG, follows a 'Forest and Sea' theme. Its entire structure relies on around 10 kilometres of cabling, supporting both the path stock and the dazzling light installation. The company, based in Bad Kötzting, specialises in treetop attractions and has seen strong financial growth in 2025.
The holiday lighting in Prora adds a magical touch to the treetop walk, drawing visitors during the winter months. With its growing network of attractions and strong financial performance, Erlebnis Akademie AG continues to develop new sites across Europe. The illuminated path stock remains open for guests until late February.
