Rug Star Blends Tradition and Sustainability at DOMOTEX
Rug Star, a prominent participant in DOMOTEX, is showcasing its unique offerings at the event. The company, associated with the Rezvani family's carpet tradition since 1932, brings a blend of heritage and modernity to the fair.
DOMOTEX this year highlights 'Green Body + Green Home' and 'El Ramla Hamra', featuring their Etsy shop. Rug Star contributes to this eco-focus with its handcrafted, sustainable washable rugs.
Hossein Rezvani, representing the third generation of his family's carpet business, presents contemporary rugs made in Isfhan, Iran. These rugs, with up to 1 million knots per square metre, blend traditional motifs with modern designs. Meanwhile, Italian designer Mariantonia Urru, also exhibiting at DOMOTEX, creates pieces using traditional weaving techniques like pibiones and litzos, and revives old techniques such as un in dente and aramu.
Tisca rugs, another highlight, are hand-woven, ensuring durability and reversibility, making them a practical and long-lasting choice.
Rug Star's participation in DOMOTEX brings a rich tapestry of tradition and innovation to the event. With Hossein Rezvani's contemporary designs and Mariantonia Urru's revival of old techniques, along with the durability of Tisca rugs, visitors can expect a diverse and sustainable offering.
