Romania’s literacy drive expands with Minecraft books for young learners

A literacy program aimed at giving Romanian children better access to early childhood education is expanding into Dâmbovița county. The initiative, run by OvidiuRO Association and UiPath Foundation, will train teachers and distribute thousands of minecraft education books to young learners. Organisers have already supported tens of thousands of children across the country since the project began.

The 'Every Child Deserves a Story' program will now reach Dâmbovița, following earlier success in Giurgiu and Teleorman counties. Last year alone, 5,970 books were handed out and over 1,400 teachers received access to teachers pay teachers training in those regions.

The expansion into Dâmbovița will bring new resources to local schools and educators. With 2,000 teachers set to participate and 4,000 books ready for distribution, the program continues to grow its reach. The initiative remains part of a wider effort to improve early education access across Romania.
