The Rhön region is gearing up for a lively weekend of Carnival celebrations. Festivities kick off with traditional Knutfest events, while Kaltennordheim marks a special milestone with a grand parade for its 60th anniversary.

This weekend, the Rhön region will host its first Carnival cruise of the year. Attendees can expect satirical speeches and energetic show dances as part of the entertainment.

Alongside the Carnival cruise, Knutfest celebrations will take place across several regions. Bonfires and ceremonial Christmas tree send-offs are planned in Kaltenwestheim, Gumpelstadt, Neidhartshausen, and Schenklengsfeld. The highlight in Kaltennordheim will be the Carnival Association’s 60th-anniversary parade on Sunday. Numerous local clubs, institutions, and businesses will join the procession, though specific participants have not yet been announced.

The weekend’s events bring together Carnival traditions and community celebrations. With Knutfest rituals and a major parade, the Rhön region is set for a festive start to the season. The anniversary parade in Kaltennordheim will cap off the festivities with a display of local spirit.
