Rhön Museum Reopens with a Fresh Vision for Culture and Nature
The Rhön Museum in Fladungen has reopened as a fresh, modern space for culture and discovery. After a major redesign, it welcomed visitors again on 30 March 2025. The museum now blends nature, history, and regional identity in a new way.
The updated permanent exhibition showcases the Rhön as a living cultural landscape. It draws from the museum's collections, which date back to its founding in 1921. Nature, history, and local traditions now come together in interactive displays.
Visitors can explore at their own pace with an annual pass. An adult pass costs €20, while a family pass is €40. These allow unlimited entry for a full year, making repeat visits easy.
Passes and gift vouchers are available at the ticket desk during opening hours. The museum encourages both locals and tourists to use them for spontaneous trips or planned outings. The offer suits families, friends, and anyone wanting to connect more deeply with the Rhön region.
The redesign brings the Rhön's stories to life in a contemporary format. With affordable annual passes, the museum invites people to return often and explore its changing exhibits. The new approach aims to make regional culture and nature accessible to all.
