Rhine 2025 Cleanup Activity Involves "Prima.Klima.Neuenkamp"
In the heart of the Ruhr metropolitan area, the city of Duisburg is leading the charge for a more sustainable future with the Prima.Klima.Ruhrmetropole project. One of the key areas of focus is the Duisburg-Neuenkamp climate quarter, where the Prima.Klima.Neuenkamp project is making significant strides.
Linda Wagner, Duisburg's Environmental and Climate Protection Chief, has highlighted the importance of the Rhine Cleanup as a symbol of the city's commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. This year, the Rhine Cleanup will take place simultaneously in many cities along the Rhine, including Duisburg, on September 13th.
The Prima.Klima.Neuenkamp project is participating in the Rhine Cleanup, with registration required via the online portal. The event will start at 10 AM along the Rhine in Neuenkamp, with meeting points at the Rhine dyke at Lilienthalstraße 70 and at the Ruhr dyke at Kaßlerfelder Straße 188. All citizens are welcome to join.
The Rhine Cleanup is more than just a cleanup; it's a chance for the community to come together and take joint responsibility for their environment and climate. Christopher Seifried from the Sanierungsmanagement Prima.Klima.Neuenkamp emphasises this point, stating that the Rhine Cleanup is a great opportunity to involve the people in the neighbourhood and foster a sense of shared responsibility.
The Prima.Klima.Neuenkamp project aims to make climate protection and adaptation tangible in the neighbourhood, engaging citizens, local actors, and institutions. Concrete measures being developed include energy-efficient renovations, greening projects, and information and participation offers.
The Prima.Klima.Neuenkamp project is part of the larger Prima.Klima.Ruhrmetropole project, which allows for the testing, application, and evaluation of tailored measures and funding structures for future use. This project serves as a role model for the entire Ruhr metropolitan area, setting a visible sign for climate protection and sustainability.
For more information about the Prima.Klima.Neuenkamp project, visit www.unser website.de. The project's goal is to make the quarter more climate-friendly, livable, and future-proof in the long term, contributing to the overall future-oriented integrated quarter development, as stated by Linda Wagner.
Knowledge transfer between all participating cities in the Ruhr metropolitan area benefits the selected neighborhoods and the entire region through the Prima.Klima.Ruhrmetropole project. The trash collected during the Rhine Cleanup in Duisburg will be collected at the Rhine Orange.
Join Duisburg in its commitment to a greener future by participating in the Rhine Cleanup and supporting the Prima.Klima.Neuenkamp project. Together, we can make a difference.
