The Nizhny Novgorod branch of Rosreestr, the Russian Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre, and Cartography, is organising a discussion on the specifics of applying new rules regarding unused lands. This event is scheduled for September 18, from 10:00 to 12:00.

Oksana Stein, the head of the Nizhny Novgorod Rosreestr, will lead the discussion. She has emphasised that the new rules, which came into effect on September 1, 2025, are designed for protection and clarity.

The new rules apply to settlements, garden plots, and allotment gardens. The new list of non-use signs, also effective from September 1, 2025, provides information on measures needed to confirm correct plot use according to its intended purpose.

This list includes indicators such as no visible signs of construction or cultivation, no evidence of regular use, and temporary idleness due to valid reasons like inheritance or legal disputes.

Doubts about plot compliance with the new norms can be dispelled through a phone consultation. The call-center number for questions about the new rules is (831) 411-81-71. For more specific queries, residents can call (831) 411-85-36 on September 18.

The Nizhny Novgorod Rosreestr is also setting up hotlines to explain the new rules regarding unused lands. Specialists from the Nizhny Novgorod Rosreestr will discuss the specifics of applying the new criteria for unused land during these sessions.

By understanding and adhering to these new rules, residents can ensure the correct use of their plots and contribute to the clarity and protection of the land registry system.
