Refreshed Design for Previous Support Pillars

In the picturesque city of Eutin, a new addition to the cityscape is taking shape. The city has acquired eight advertising pillars, each serving as an eye-catcher and a blend of nostalgia with modern marketing.

These advertising pillars, a concept first introduced by Berlin printer Ernst Litfaß in 1854, have found a new home in Eutin's city area. They are managed by a specific company and are strategically placed at various locations, including Sielbecker Landstraße/Fissaubrücke, Elisabethstraße 22, Johann-Specht-Straße 17, corner of Bürgermeister-Steenbock-Straße 10/Am Priwall, corner of Wilhelm-Wisser-Straße/Alter Braaker Weg, Weidestraße 28, corner of Dorfstraße/Sielbecker Landstraße in Fissau, and Berliner Platz.

The advertising pillar at Berliner Platz, the first to be pasted, currently serves as the showcase pillar. It has been covered with an aluminum plate and high-gloss laminated, rather than being traditionally pasted, as a trial for a potential new approach.

The thematic focus for the first advertising pillar is 'culture'. The cooperation partners for this pillar include Eutiner Festspiele, Schloss Eutin, and Ostholstein-Museum. The advertising pillars will feature different motifs to address different target groups.

Michael Keller, Managing Director of Eutin Tourism GmbH, provided the information about the advertising pillars. He also mentioned that some of the advertising pillars will be permanently displayed, while others will be changed from time to time.

The concept for the advertising pillars in Eutin is still in the testing phase and has not yet been finalized. This includes the use of QR codes on the pillars, providing additional surfaces with immediate outdoor impact in the digital age.

The cooperation partners for the design of the other advertising pillars at Berliner Platz include local businesses, advertising agencies, and municipal authorities. The advertising pillars for Eutin are also being tested for banner sails for the advertising pillars in Eutin, particularly for those situated near the waterfront.

As the testing phase continues, the city of Eutin and its partners look forward to refining the concept and bringing more vibrancy and modernity to the city's streets.
