Queen Letizia celebrates Pedro García's 100th anniversary with a royal visit
Queen Letizia of Spain visited the Pedro García factory in Elda to mark the brand's 100th anniversary. The royal guest toured the production line and praised the company's dedication to craftsmanship. Her appearance highlighted the long-standing relationship between the monarchy and the Spanish shoemaker.
During the visit, Queen Letizia wore the Xantia knee-high boot from Pedro García's collection. The design features vegetable-tanned calf leather, crafted using eco-friendly techniques. She also received a special gift: a commemorative book titled Seasons: A Journey Through Spain with Pedro García.
The queen took time to leave a message in the brand's guestbook. She commended the quality, innovation, and artisanal tradition of Elda's footwear. Creative director Pedro García III later expressed his honour at her visit, emphasising the company's focus on craftsmanship and excellence.
This was not the first time Queen Letizia had shown support for the brand. She has worn Pedro García shoes on multiple occasions and presented the company with the Premio Nacional de la Moda in 2020.
The visit reinforced the bond between the Spanish royal family and Pedro García. The brand continues to celebrate its centennial with a focus on tradition and sustainability. Queen Letizia's presence underscored the importance of artisanal craftsmanship in modern fashion.
