The town of Albir, Spain, is gearing up for an exciting weekend of festivities from August 22 to 24, 2025, at the Parque de los Eucaliptos. This year's event promises a rich programme of cultural, musical, and social activities, all aimed at promoting equality, respect, and safe celebrations.

The highlight of the weekend will be the establishment of a Purple and Rainbow Point at the festival venue. This dedicated area is designed to promote equality, respect, and anti-discrimination efforts, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all festival-goers.

The festivities kick off on Friday, August 22, with the opening of the Parque de los Eucaliptos at 7:00 PM. The evening continues with a "Sailors" themed costume parade at 10:30 PM, followed by a tribute concert to Estopa by the band Demonios and a late-night DJ set by Luis Micó. To facilitate safe transportation, a free night bus service will operate from 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 AM, with stops at key locations across Albir.

On Saturday, August 23, the day starts with a pétanque tournament semifinal, followed by a classic car and motorcycle gathering. A children’s water play area opens at 11:00 AM, offering fun for the little ones. In the afternoon, festival groups will organise paella and aioli contests, while Xaranga La Contraria brass band entertains the crowds. The day concludes with a parade including the festival queen, her court, festival organisers, and authorities from the park, leading to a church service at 8:00 PM. The night is marked by a spectacular mascletà fireworks display.

The night bus service will be extended on Saturday to accommodate the late-night events, with a 4:30 AM bus added to the schedule. The service connects key stops across Albir, including Parque de los Eucaliptos, Tossalet, Casa de Cultura, Parque Escandinavia, and the Sant Rafael roundabout.

Sunday, August 24, continues the festivities from 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM with live music and community activities. The weekend culminates with a final parade leading to a church service at 8:00 PM.

The Albir festivities are organized by the Mayorales 2025, in collaboration with local associations and the town hall. Around 40 local clubs, grouped in the Associació de Penyes, representing nearly a thousand festival-goers, are involved in the preparations.

The festivities promise a lively community spirit, with highlights including the costume parade, live concerts by notable tribute bands and popular local artists, children’s activities, traditional competitions, night mascletà fireworks display, religious procession, and mass. The free, extended night bus service ensures participant safety throughout the weekend.

During the festivities in Albir, Spain, from August 22 to 24, 2025, at the Parque de los Eucaliptos, attendees can look forward to an inclusive lifestyle experience at the Purple and Rainbow Point, a dedicated area promoting equality and respect. In addition to the rich cultural and musical programming, home-and-garden enthusiasts can enjoy the children’s water play area and the classic car and motorcycle gathering on the Saturday.
