Potential Severe Physical Harm: Motivation Remains Undetermined
In an unsettling turn of events, a stabbing incident took place on Thuringian Street in Gera on August 28, 2025. The incident left a 37-year-old Syrian and his 32-year-old compatriot injured, with the former sustaining a cut to his face.
According to the information transmitted via news aktuell by the Landespolizeiinspektion Gera, the police were called to the scene at 22:58 due to a report of a man being stabbed at a bus stop. The motive for the attack is unclear as the victims did not make any statements to the police about the incident or the attackers.
Two men, believed to be from Eastern Europe, are suspected to have carried out the attack. These individuals are described as approximately 25-30 years old, about 1.80 meters tall, with dark hair, wearing casual clothing. One of the suspects is further described as wearing white shoes, a black jacket with white stripes, and a cap. However, the second suspect's height and clothing description are not available.
The suspects in the stabbing incident are believed to be between 25 and 35 years old and may have Russian or Ukrainian origins. Despite immediate search measures, the attackers could not be found by the police.
