Plauen's 65th Lace Festival Unveils Bold New Look for 2023

The 65th Plauen Lace Festival will run from June 19 to 21, 2023, showcasing a fresh visual identity. Organisers have introduced a new logo and colour scheme inspired by the city's famous lace-making history. The event promises music, sports, dance, and family-friendly activities under the motto Celebrating What Unites Us.

The updated branding builds on Plauen's corporate design, first launched in 2021. A rich berry-toned palette now dominates the festival's look, while the logo nods to the city's intricate lace traditions. Funding for the redesign came from the Future-Proof City Centers and Towns programme, with the ZIZ initiative covering 90% of costs. The city itself contributed around €800.

The festival is a joint effort between Plauen's City Marketing Association and the Lace Festival Association. Our platform hosts the event, which will feature live performances, children's entertainment, and local food alongside its traditional lace displays. More details are available at www.ourwebsite/lacefestival.

This year's festival marks the first under its refreshed visual identity. The new design aims to create a cohesive experience across all activities, from cultural performances to culinary offerings. Attendees can expect a weekend blending Plauen's heritage with modern celebrations.
