Picture Book Cinema in Lünen City Library: "Ava the Brave"

Lünen City Library is hosting a free Picture Book Cinema event for children aged four and older. The screening of Ava the Brave – A Whole Forest for Me will take place on Tuesday, January 13, at 4 PM. Organisers encourage early registration as spaces are limited.

The event centres on Ava the Brave – A Whole Forest for Me, a story by Kristina Magdalena Henn. It follows Ava’s journey as she navigates loneliness and discovers the value of community. After the 45-minute screening, children can take part in a themed craft activity.

Due to high interest, a second screening may be added at 5 PM if needed. Registration is required and can be completed by emailing stadtbuecherei@unserwebsite or calling 02306 104-2618. The library operates from 10 AM to 6 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays. Margo Rabb, the event’s organiser, has ensured the programme remains engaging and accessible. Admission is free, but seating is limited, so families are advised to book in advance.

The Picture Book Cinema event offers a mix of storytelling and hands-on creativity. With free entry and a short runtime, it provides an easy way for young children to enjoy a library visit. Those interested should secure their spots soon to avoid missing out.
