Perennials brings Vincent Van Duysen's genius to wallcoverings
Belgian designer Vincent Van Duysen has teamed up with Perennials to launch a striking collection of wallcoverings. First unveiled at Milan’s Salone del Mobile in April 2019, the range blends subtle elegance with rich textural detail. Each design offers a distinct aesthetic, from sculpted surfaces to handcrafted finishes.
The collection features eight unique wallcoverings, each with its own tactile quality. Grooves stands out with an abstract, ink-sculpted surface that plays with light and shadow. Tableau Type II recreates the raw charm of aged concrete, combining a weathered look with durable performance.
For those drawn to natural materials, *Tierceron* highlights the fine grain of wood veneer, giving warmth and depth to interiors. *Ashlar* takes inspiration from hand-cut stone, using layered paper pulp to form geometric patterns with a three-dimensional effect. The *Filament* and *Stitchery* designs introduce rhythmic textures—one with horizontal stripes, the other with vertical textile strings. Together, they add movement and contrast to walls. Van Duysen’s approach ensures every piece feels refined yet understated, balancing craftsmanship with modern simplicity.
