Pelym's Kolobok kindergarten resumes renovations with expanded upgrades
Renovation work at Kolobok kindergarten in Pelym has restarted after a planned pause. The project aims to create modern, comfortable spaces for the town's youngest children. Funding for all repairs comes from the local budget.
The kindergarten has been undergoing upgrades in stages since 2025. By May that year, workers had completed one-quarter of the ceramic granite cladding on the building's exterior.
A tender for insulating and cladding another section was held in December 2025. Now, the second phase of the exterior work is in progress. Additional funds were approved in 2026 to finish cladding the remaining outer walls.
This year's plans also include fixing the sewage system and improving the outdoor area. The surrounding grounds will get refurbished playgrounds and new small architectural features.
The renovations continue without a set completion date. No public data exists on current attendance figures or how many new places the upgrades will provide. The project remains fully funded by local authorities.
