Paris Apartment Transformed into Spacious Haven by Adeline Hémonnot and Anne Sirot
A small Paris apartment has been transformed into a bright, spacious haven by interior architect Adeline Hémonnot and art collector Anne Sirot. The 30 square meter space, located in an unspecified area of the city, has been meticulously redesigned to maximise its potential.
Hémonnot separated the living and sleeping areas with sliding doors adorned with decorative moldings. A multifunctional wall closet was installed in the entrance area, providing ample storage space. Meanwhile, architect Joshua Florquin created a balcony with a kingsize bed accessible from both sides, hiding storage underneath. The bed sits above a two-meter-wide sofa that serves as a seating area and transforms into a cozy sleep space for the owner's child.
In another project, Colombian photographer Anita Calero turned a 33 square meter Manhattan apartment into a stylish second home. She used mirrors to create a spacious feel and reflect personal style. Similarly, architect Paola Sola renovated a 26-square-meter beach house in Naples' Posillipo neighborhood, optimising space and choosing every detail carefully to create a vibrant, airy atmosphere that embodies slow living.
These innovative designs demonstrate how small spaces can be transformed into functional, inviting homes. By using clever storage solutions, multifunctional furniture, and strategic use of mirrors, these architects have created beautiful, liveable spaces from compact apartments.
