Palma de Mallorca’s Stunning Christmas Lights Shine in Record Warmth
Palma de Mallorca has illuminated its streets with a dazzling Christmas display. The annual lighting ceremony took place in unusually warm weather, with temperatures hitting 20°C. The festive lighting will stay in place until January 20, covering the city’s Sant Sebastià celebrations. The display includes 614 kilometers of fairy lights and 3,350 illuminated decorations. Many German tourists arrive early in the season just to see the spectacle before the holidays. Despite the warm conditions, the ceremony went ahead as planned. The lights will remain a focal point for visitors and locals until the festival’s end. Once removed, the decorations will be stored until next winter. The display continues to draw crowds, blending holiday cheer with the island’s mild climate.
