The Russian region of Krasnodar Krai is set to undergo significant enhancements in its green zones as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." This initiative aims to improve the urban environment and quality of life for residents by targeting specific areas for improvement.

According to the project details, by 2025, 103 green zones in Krasnodar Krai are planned to be improved, and by 2030, the number of green zones targeted for improvement will increase to 84. This includes the central square in Armavir, a public territory along the river in Korenevsk, and an embankment in Stanitsa Tamany, among others.

The governor of Krasnodar Krai, Veniamin Kondratyev, has shared his vision for these improvements, stating that the updated parks, squares, and embankments will become more attractive for residents. The improved spaces will offer opportunities for walking, relaxing, and engaging in sports.

To make these spaces more accessible, ramps for people with disabilities will be constructed, and modern lighting and backlighting will be installed. Additionally, new trees and shrubs will be planted, and children's playgrounds and sports complexes will be equipped in the new green zones.

This initiative is part of a broader program to develop and modernize social and urban infrastructure in the Krasnodar Krai region. Since 2019, more than 1,400 green zones, including parks, squares, and embankments, have been updated as part of the national project "Housing and Urban Environment."

By the end of 2026, 174 territories in the region will be reconstructed, including the embankment in Gelendzhik and parks in Korenevsk, Kurganinsk, and Ust-Labinsk. This regional-focused program aligns with Russia's larger strategy to invest in infrastructure and living environment enhancements.

While further details such as funding, project phases, or involved stakeholders were not found in the general construction and infrastructure search data, this project underscores the commitment to improving the quality of life for residents in Krasnodar Krai.

Engaging in outdoor-living might become more appealing in Krasnodar Krai, as the project details suggest the addition of children's playgrounds and sports complexes to the improved green zones. This expansion of home-and-garden spaces is part of the broader program to develop and modernize social and urban infrastructure in the region.
