Over 1,000 Trees Planted in Zabrze-Biskupice Forest
Over 1,000 young trees, including native deciduous species and fruit trees, have been planted in the Motocross Municipal Forest in Zabrze-Biskupice, Poland, as part of the Green Pulse of Silesia program. The event, held on October 9, 2025, saw representatives from local institutions, participants from Caritas Gliwice Occupational Therapy Workshops, and residents of Zabrze come together to support the initiative. The trees were planted in cooperation with Stellantis.
The 1,000+ trees planted consist of 80% native deciduous species and 20% fruit trees. This will not only enhance the forest's biodiversity but also provide fresh produce for the local community in the future. The Biskupice Municipal Forest, a beloved spot for recreation and walks, has now gained a new lease of life with these young trees. The event was further bolstered by volunteers from the local community and members of the environmental organisation 'Green Future'.
The successful tree planting event in Zabrze-Biskupice has injected new life into the Motocross Municipal Forest. The diverse range of trees planted will contribute to the city's green spaces and provide a lasting legacy for the local community.
