Oberwil's Forest Week 2025: A Week of Nature, Fun, and Creativity
Oberwil's children enjoyed an action-packed Forest Week from September 29 to October 3, 2025. The event, led by an unknown organiser, offered a mix of games, crafts, excursions, and wildlife spotting.
The week kicked off on Monday with an exploration of Spitzwald Forest. Children also crafted hedgehogs from modeling clay. Tuesday saw energetic play and outdoor fun, with one group making friendship bracelets and another enjoying the playground by Eisweiher Pond.
Wednesday was dedicated to creativity. In the morning, children painted stones. In the afternoon, they visited Reinach Wildlife Park. Thursday was filled with football and wooden slice decoration for the older and younger children respectively. They then visited Mathis-Hof Farm in Bottmingen to navigate a corn maze. The Forest Week concluded with a treasure hunt, scavenger hunt, and a visit to Basel Zoo at the children's request.
The Forest Week in Oberwil 2025 provided children with a variety of activities, fostering creativity, physical activity, and appreciation for nature and wildlife. Despite the lack of information about the event's leader, the week was a memorable experience for the participating children.
