NRA’s Great American Outdoor Show returns to Harrisburg with gear deals and expert talks
The NRA’s Great American Outdoor Show is set to return to Harrisburg in February. Running from the 7th to the 15th, the main event will take place at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. Visitors can expect discounts on gear, expert talks, and appearances by outdoor celebrities.
The show caters to fans of hunting, fishing, shooting sports, boating, and camping. Attendees can buy equipment at reduced prices, meet well-known figures in the outdoor world, and pick up tips from specialists. However, firearms won’t be sold on-site—dealers can only take orders for later collection.
Opening times vary across the nine days. Weekends run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., while the final day, February 15th, closes earlier at 4 p.m. Weekday evenings between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. tend to be quieter, though the last day is usually the least busy. Some late bargains may still be available, but popular deals often sell out by then. This year’s speakers include Melissa Bachman, the Seek One deer hunting team, Sean Mann, Eddie Salter, and Bobby Uhrig. Parking could be tricky, with limited spaces at the venue. A free shuttle will run from Bass Pro Shops to help ease congestion. Tickets cost $17 for adults, $14 for seniors over 65, and $10 for children aged 6 to 12.
The event offers a mix of shopping, learning, and networking for outdoor enthusiasts. With varied opening hours and transport options, organisers aim to manage crowds and parking challenges. Discounted gear and expert talks remain key draws for visitors.
