Norway’s Arctic beauty comes alive at Garbsen’s multimedia showcase this January
A multimedia journey through Norway is coming to Garbsen City Library this January. Photographer Matthias Hanke will present Norway: Between the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun on the 22nd. The main event promises a mix of breathtaking images, films, and storytelling in high definition.
The show will guide audiences from Norway’s southern beaches to the Arctic Circle. Highlights include stops in Oslo, Bergen, and Tromsø, along with visits to historic stave churches and remote fishing villages. The Lofoten Islands will feature prominently, showcasing their jagged rock formations, turquoise waters, and iconic wooden houses.
Winter landscapes will also take centre stage. Viewers can expect scenes of snow-covered plateaus, towering mountains, and the shimmering aurora borealis. Hanke’s presentation will even cover the famous Hurtigruten coastal voyage, often called one of the world’s most stunning sea routes. The event begins at 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 7:00 PM. Tickets cost €12 and are available at the library, by phone at (05131) 707 170, or via email at stadtbibliothek@[our website]. The show blends photography, film clips, interviews, and humour for an immersive experience.
Hanke’s presentation offers a chance to explore Norway’s dramatic scenery without leaving Garbsen. The multimedia format ensures a vivid, engaging evening for all attendees. Those interested can secure their spot through the city library’s eventbrite booking options.
