Noah's Ark Youth Farm Gains Independence with Solar-Powered Island

Noah's Ark youth farm in Meerbusch has gained independence thanks to a new solar-powered island power plant. The plant, donated by Neusser Handwerk e.V., provides a reliable energy supply to the botanical gardens, far from existing power sources. Michaela Danker, director of Noah's Ark, expresses joy about this development.

The project was a collaborative effort. Neusser Handwerk e.V. donated the entire solar system and additional materials. Rainer Dederichs, chairman of the organisation, highlights the importance of combining sustainability, youth work, and nature and animal protection in this initiative. The project was implemented by Elektro Prechters GmbH and Michael Heuschen Garden and Landscape Construction on a voluntary basis.

The solar island power plant is mounted on stable fence elements and optimally aligned for maximum efficiency. It provides lighting in and around the garden hut and power outlets for various uses. More information is available at www.archenoah-meerbusch.de and www.neusserhandwerk.de
