Nizhny Novgorod Unveils The World Through Children's Eyes Art Exhibition

A major children's art exhibition is set to open in Nizhny Novgorod on February 27. Titled The World Through Children's Eyes, the event will showcase 188 finalist artworks selected from thousands of young participants. The show runs until March 15, with an awards ceremony scheduled for March 1.

The competition began with over 7,000 children entering the preliminary round. From these, 2,066 advanced to the district stage, and 188 pieces were chosen as finalists. Many of the selected artworks came from private studios and creative clubs across the city, with 42 originating in Nizhny Novgorod alone.

Urban landscapes and local folklore emerged as the most popular themes. Techniques like acrylic painting and digital collage appeared frequently among the entries. The exhibition features a wide range of subjects and styles, reflecting the creativity of young artists from various educational institutions.

The event is organised jointly by the V.P. Chkalov Palace of Children's Creativity, the Nizhny Novgorod City Department of Education, and the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum. Its goal is to support young artists, recognise educators, and encourage the moral and spiritual growth of the younger generation.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until March 15. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on March 1. The selected artworks highlight both the talent of young creators and the diversity of artistic expression in the region.
