Nizhny Novgorod Showcases 188 Young Artists in The World Through Children's Eyes
A significant children's art exhibition is set to commence in Nizhny Novgorod on February 27. Titled The World Through Children's Eyes, the event will display 188 final works chosen from thousands of young participants. The show continues until March 15, with an awards ceremony planned for March 1.
The competition began with over 7,000 children entering the preliminary round. From these, 2,066 advanced to the district stage, and 188 pieces were selected as finalists. Many of the chosen works came from private studios and creative clubs across the city, with 42 originating in Nizhny Novgorod alone.
Urban landscapes and local folklore emerged as the most popular themes. Techniques like acrylic painting and digital collage appeared frequently among the entries. The exhibition features a wide range of subjects and styles, reflecting the creativity of young artists from various educational institutions.
The event is organized jointly by the V.P. Chkalov Palace of Children's Creativity, the Nizhny Novgorod City Department of Education, and the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum. Its aim is to support young artists, recognize educators, and encourage the moral and spiritual growth of the younger generation.
The exhibition remains open to the public until March 15. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on March 1. The selected works highlight both the talent of young creators and the diversity of artistic expression in the region.
