Nightly performances taking place at Halle Marktplatz, titled "In the Summer After 8"
From the 7th to the 22nd of August, 2025, the market square in Halle, Germany, will transform into a vibrant hub of culture, music, and art for the "Summer After Eight" event.
This summer-long cultural experience will kick off on the 7th with Bienstich performing cover songs from Halle. The following day, the 8th, will see Philipp Schmidt take the stage with his repertoire of German rock, pop, and Schlager.
On the 9th, Arien & Aperol, in collaboration with the Opera Halle, promise to transport you on a charming short vacation to the south. The Opera Halle will also present Dream, Drama, Diva on the 20th, featuring arias by Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, and Bellini.
On the 11th, Jabarett, a cabaret-style jazz quartet, will explore the myth of jazz, while on the 12th, Los Cuban Boys will bring the rhythm of Latin crossover music to the square.
The 14th and 15th will offer a mix of literary and musical entertainment. On the 14th, Peter Godazgar and Ralf Kramp will present a black-humoured crime reading, followed by Juston Suarez & Band performing Cuban rhythms on the 15th.
The Argentine tango with Latin American folklore will be performed by Spanish Mode on the 13th, and the New Orleans sound with groove, funk, and soul will be delivered by Blue Stars on the 17th.
On the 16th, Caracou will perform Gypsy swing, chanson, and Jazz à la Manouche at the "In Love with Halle" Children's Festival, which will run from 10 am to 3 pm. The Children's Festival will also include the band Caracou's performance again on the 16th evening, this time offering a variety of genres.
The event will culminate on the 22nd with Duo HansHagen performing a tribute to Sting, David Bowie, Metallica, and more.
Each evening, the cultural program will begin at 8 pm, with a summer lounge offering drinks and food available from 6 pm.
