Nexstar's Remarkable Women Gala Celebrates 125 Community Leaders in Nashville

Nexstar Media Group recently hosted its annual Remarkable Women celebration in Nashville, bringing together 125 finalists from across the US. The main event honoured women recognised for their leadership, service and dedication to improving their communities.

The weekend included networking, creative tributes and a formal gala to highlight their achievements.

The finalists were chosen by local stations from 125 communities. Each woman was selected for her outstanding contributions, ranging from grassroots activism to long-term community projects. Together, they represented nearly 12,000 nominations submitted in 2026 alone—part of over 70,000 nominations since the initiative began in 2020.

During the celebration, the women attended a hosted lunch at JBJ's Nashville, where they shared stories and connected over their shared mission. Many also designed custom cowgirl hats to reflect their individual personalities, adding a personal touch to the event.

Country artist Morgan Myles added to the tribute by debuting a new song written specifically for the Remarkable Women. The performance took place during a songwriters event, offering a musical celebration of their work.

The weekend closed with a formal awards gala. While the national winner will be announced later, the focus remained on collective inspiration rather than competition. A donation will also be made to support the future work of the chosen winner.

The Nashville event marked the end of months of local recognition and storytelling. Finalists left with stronger connections and a shared sense of purpose. The program continues to grow, with no details yet released about the 2026 awards as of March 9, 2026.
