New Pop Choir in Bretten Kicks Off with Harmony and Fun

A new pop choir has started in Bretten, led by local teacher Katharina Hack. The choir met for the first watch on Thursday, with nine women and two men attending. The session was described as enjoyable and harmonious.

The choir, under Hack's direction, sang 'Sofia' by Alvaro Soler and 'Lautsein'. Hack, who teaches at the Melanchthon-Gymnasium, aims to create a low-threshold singing opportunity for all ages and genders, regardless of musical knowledge. The first rehearsal was casual and enjoyable, with Hack satisfied with the outcome. Singer Anita Monz, a first-timer, found the rehearsal fun and hopes more people will join. Soprano Linda Wolff, who enjoyed the first session, plans to invite friends to join the choir. Hack, who has founded various amateur choirs during her studies, has chosen a diverse repertoire. She plans to work on 'September' by 'Earth, Wind and Fire' and create a medley from 'The Greatest Showman' for the next rehearsals. Andreas Imhof, one of the two men in the choir, is satisfied with the song selection and Hack's leadership.

The pop choir meets every Thursday from 6 to 7 pm at Im Salzhofen 7 in Bretten. Further information is available at [email protected]. Hack, who is also a teacher at the Melanchthon-Gymnasium, aims to make the choir accessible to all. The first rehearsal was a success, with plans for an exciting repertoire in the coming weeks.
