New Exhibition Captures the Untouched Beauty of Artemov Meadows in 2025
A new exhibition celebrating the natural beauty of the Artemov Meadows has opened at the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum. Titled Artemovsky Meadows: A Pearl of the Nizhny Novgorod Volga Region, the show runs from November 21 to December 21, 2025. It features works created during plein-air sessions held in summer 2024 by artists immersed in the landscape.
The exhibition is the result of the Dawns and Sunsets of the Artemovsky Meadows project, launched by the Artemov Meadows Nature and Culture Center. Its aim is to preserve Russia’s natural and cultural heritage while raising ecological awareness. Artists Olga Spirina, Ivan Kuznetsov, and Maria Petrova spent months working on-site, capturing the meadows’ shifting light and scenery.
The show brings together diverse artistic perspectives on a unique natural site. By showcasing these works, the organisers hope to deepen public appreciation for the Artemov Meadows. The exhibition remains open to the public until December 21, 2025.
