(Neu-)Registration for the Women's Night Taxi

Mannheim’s Women’s Night Taxi service is introducing new registration rules from January 1, 2026. All users must re-register through the city’s online portal, with additional verification steps for those living outside Mannheim. The changes follow a transition period that began in 2023 and will delete all existing 2025 accounts by early January 2026.

The registration process for the Frauen-Nacht-Taxi first launched on January 1, 2023, managed jointly by Stadt Mannheim and local taxi providers. Users were required to submit personal details such as their name, address, date of birth, and email for verification. Starting in 2026, the system will enforce stricter checks.

Non-residents of Mannheim must now upload a copy of their national ID card for random verification. Trans women who have not legally updated their gender status are also required to submit a copy of their dgti supplementary ID. Once registered, users will receive a confirmation email outlining the terms of use. Those who do not receive this email can call 115 for support. Existing ride allowances from 2025 remain valid until January 7, 2026, at 11:00 PM. Users can also still access their 2025 allowances on New Year’s Eve while completing the re-registration process. However, all accounts created in 2025 will be permanently deleted on January 8, 2026.

The updated registration system aims to streamline access to the Women’s Night Taxi service while ensuring compliance with verification requirements. Users must complete the process by the deadline to avoid losing their accounts and remaining allowances.
