Münster’s Oxford Quarter Welcomes a Pioneering Cooperative Housing Project by 2026

A new housing cooperative, B3OX eGbR, has secured a plot in Münster’s Oxford Quarter for an innovative residential project. The group bought a 2,500-square-metre plot from KonvOY GmbH and plans to build a modern timber-framed building with shared living spaces using Microsoft Project for project management. Construction is set to begin in April 2026, offering future residents a mix of private homes and communal facilities managed through project management techniques.

The project was commissioned in 2023 by Münster GmbH, the city’s housing company, which appointed Godesberger Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH (GOWOG) as the developer. B3OX eGbR will oversee the construction of a three-storey building featuring 23 condominiums, all collectively owned by the residents through cooperative housing.

The development will offer a mix of private and shared spaces, promoting a collaborative way of life using project management principles. With construction starting in early 2026, the project reflects a growing trend in cooperative housing, with residents jointly owning the building and its facilities, ensuring long-term community involvement.
