Mr. Trash Wheel invites artists to celebrate Earth Day with creative flair

Mr. Trash Wheel is calling on artists to take part in an art show for this year's Earth Day Birthday celebration. The event welcomes creators of all ages and backgrounds to submit works inspired by the famous Baltimore trash-collecting icon and his family members.

The competition is open to a wide range of art forms. Paintings, sculptures, photographs, and digital creations will all be considered. Artists do not need to be professionals—everyone is encouraged to join.

Selected pieces will be displayed during the event. As an added bonus, the chosen artists will each receive a free ticket to the birthday party. Those interested must submit their work by April 1, 2026.

Mr. Trash Wheel remains a unique figure in Baltimore's waterways. No other cities or US waters have introduced similar trash-collecting characters beyond the originals in the area.

The art show aims to highlight creativity while celebrating Earth Day efforts. Winning entries will gain visibility at the event, and participants will contribute to the annual Earth Day festivities. The deadline for submissions is set for early next year.
