Moscow's Chekmenyov Street Park Transforms with Eco-Friendly Renovation
Moscow's Chekmenyov Street Park is undergoing a transformation, with renovations commencing in early October 2023. Selected through public voting under the federal initiative 'Creating a Comfortable Urban Air', the project is set to be completed by the end of this year, boasting a budget of over 51 million rubles.
The revamped park will introduce new relaxation areas and a modern children’s playground, equipped with state-of-the-art play equipment. To ensure sustainability, energy-efficient LED lighting will illuminate the park, while an automated irrigation system will maintain the greenery. Cold-hardy subtropical vegetation will be planted, adding a touch of exotic beauty to the urban landscape.
The park's renovation is part of Moscow's ongoing efforts to improve urban environments, with regional and municipal budgets supporting the project.
Upon completion by the end of 2023, the transformed Chekmenyov Street Park promises to offer Moscow residents a comfortable, eco-friendly, and engaging green space for relaxation and recreation.
