Mobico's ALSA Wins €500M Saudi Arabia Deal for Electric Fleet
Mobico Group's subsidiary ALSA has secured a significant eight-year contract in Saudi Arabia. The deal, worth 500 million EUR, involves operating a fleet of vehicles in the new city of Qiddiya and connecting it to Riyadh via Park & Ride facilities and shuttle services.
This contract marks a major milestone for Mobico, which first entered the Saudi market in October 2023. It demonstrates ALSA's capability to secure competitive, large-scale overseas projects and further strengthens Mobico's presence in the Middle East.
The contract requires ALSA to operate 156 vehicles, with 126 of them being electric. This not only aligns with Saudi Arabia's sustainability goals but also positions Mobico as a leading operator of innovative, sustainable transport services. The company's ability to win such a capital-light contract, without revealing specific local collaborations, showcases its prowess in international tenders.
With this contract, ALSA will operate services connecting Riyadh and Qiddiya, contributing to the mobility infrastructure of these cities. The 500 million EUR deal underscores Mobico's commitment to the Saudi market and its confidence in ALSA's ability to deliver high-quality, sustainable transport services.
