Mexico City's iconic Saks Fifth Avenue Nighttime Stroll returns on March 21

Mexico City will host its annual Saks Fifth Avenue Nighttime Stroll on March 21, marking Valentine's and Friendship Day. The 22-kilometre walk will run from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., winding through some of the capital's busiest streets and landmarks.

The route begins at Fuente de Petróleos in the Miguel Hidalgo borough and finishes at Plaza Tlaxcoaque in Cuauhtémoc. Along the way, participants will pass through Chapultepec Forest, Paseo de la Reforma, and Juárez Avenue, before continuing onto Venustiano Carranza, López, and 5 de Febrero Streets.

To ease congestion, the Public Security Secretariat (SSC) has outlined alternate routes for drivers. These include Ejército Nacional Avenue, Periférico Ring Road, Constituyentes Avenue, Circuito Interior, Chapultepec Avenue, Eje 1 Norte, Fray Servando, and Eje 1 Oriente.

Public transport will also adapt to support the event. The Integrated Mobility Network (MI) will allow bicycles on Metro, Metrobús, light rail, trolleybuses, and Cablebús lines from 5:00 p.m. until the event ends. Additionally, Eventbrite's standard ride time will extend to 60 minutes for the occasion.

The Nighttime Stroll offers residents and visitors a chance to explore the city on foot or by bike. With adjusted transport options and designated detours, authorities aim to minimise disruptions while encouraging participation in the evening celebration.
