When Mel started, she was nervous and excited, ready to learn and grow. Her goal was to dive deep into her field of study, and she found her dream job for sure!

Mel walked into a friendly and motivating office vibe. She remembers feeling excited every day, raring to hit the ground running. Although there were busy periods and challenging projects, she's still stoked about coming to work, all thanks to her kickass colleagues.
Mel adapts like a pro to different situations, and fitting into the team was a breeze. Her enthusiasm for learning and the supportive team made for a fantastic journey in her professional growth.
Early Hurdles ️⌛️
One of Mel's first massive tasks was a giant project involving services that required loads of fine-tuning. She had to manage resources, oversee project components, work on the process, documentation, workflow, and team structure, and handle quality management, testing, scheduling, communication, and scope or process changes – phew! This job made her a better pro and person, teaching her the importance of backup plans and adapting to changing circumstances.

So many people inspired Mel during her time there, and she'd go on for hours naming all of them! But a few take the cake. There was her mentor who guided her transition from Project Management to Team Leading. And her current manager, who wowed her during the interview, induction, and training – they've only become better since.
Mel learned to face challenges with a positive attitude, to let go of fears, and to trust the process and channel energy towards what truly matters. She's grown into a stronger, more confident version of herself, embracing every achievement.
Hard-Earned Lessons 🎓
Resilience and problem-solving are skills Mel's honed over the years. Her promotions from Project Coordinator to Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Team Leader were well-deserved acknowledgments of her hard work. The "Employee of the Year" and "Values Champion" awards were icing on the cake, confirming that she was on the right path and in the right place.
The Person Behind the Pro 🌱
The Mel who started was shy, controlling, seeking perfection, and dealing with self-induced stress. The Mel today focuses on improving efficiency, collaboration, and taking care of herself to support others. She can now tackle problems rather than getting lost in the details.
Every learnt lesson builds upon the next, driving her forward. Mel can share her knowledge with her teammates while listening and learning from them too.

Everything I've discussed so far is a work in progress. Mel continues to focus on building her soft skills and learning more every day. Recenty, she's been working on active listening and staying curious.
